President



Michael Cooper is the visionary behind Panland, and currently sits as the C.E.O. and President of the company. Mr. Cooper founded the company, then Trinidad and Tobago Instruments Limited in 1993 and has been the C.E.O. and major shareholder since its inception. Mr. Cooper holds an impressive resume, including his role as a former Senior Executive at Neal & Massy Group of Companies, the largest private sector group of companies in the Caribbean. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with First Class Honours in Engineering from the University of the West Indies and a Masters of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. Cooper is a former lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the West Indies in St. Augustine, Trinidad, and has held a variety of positions in the engineering in several state-owned public infrastructure companies. His achievements and contributions to the pan world continue to provide leadership in the industry and its birthplace of Laventille, including Chairman of the Laventille Steelband Festival Foundation, Former Chairman of the Laventille Community Complex, Member of the Pan Standards Committee and Member of the Technical Committee for Intellectual Property for Pan. Through his enterprising leadership of Panland, Mr. Cooper has received numerous awards including 1998 Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year – Trinidad and Tobago, 2000 Caribbean Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, 2008 Prime Minister’s Exporter of the Year Award, and currently serves as the President of the Tennis Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
